Basic Industrial Controls
In this 24-hour introductory training, students will:

Be introduced to industrial control components and relay logic

Investigate, draw and wire circuits with industrial electrical devices including switches, proximity sensors, relays, timing relays and photoelectric switches in our hands-on lab

Develop machine electrical print reading skills (a major focus of this training)

Utilize automation device manuals to learn proper wiring practices
Instructor: Andy George
Andy George started teaching in the Mechatronics - Electromechanical - Automation field at Western Technical College in La Crosse in 2011. Andy started at MSC Southeast when the Mechatronics program began in 2020. Prior to teaching, Andy was an Electromechanical Technician in Machine Build at Hutchinson Technology in Eau Claire, WI. Andy holds an AAS in Electromechanical Technology from Western Technical College and a BS in Management from the University of Wisconsin-Stout.
