About Us

Mississippi Thunder Speedway is a 1/3 mile dirt track located just north of Fountain City, WI. Formerly known as ''Tri-Oval Speedway'' and ''River Raceways'' (a landmark 3/8 mile three-cornered tri-oval dirt racing track), the thunder of automobile racing first roared out of the pine trees when the track was founded in 1968. After years of three-cornered fun and excitement the previous owner of Tri-Oval Speedway made the decision in the fall of 2008 to sell the track to racer and successful local business man Bob Timm. With more than 200 A-Mod Feature Wins through his career, Bob's accomplishments as a driver provide the knowledge needed to bring the track up to the top level needed for success in the heart of western Wisconsin!
